Sony Picture’s baseball film is back in the starting lineup after being benched over creative differences recently.
Roster changes that have put the project back in the swing of things include pinch-hitter Aaron Sorkin. Best known for “The West Wing”, “Charlie Wilson’s War” and “Sports Night”,

Aaron Sorkin
the prolific writer has been signed up to re-work the script. Another free agent brought aboard is veteran filmmaker Scott Rudin who will serve as executive producer. His credits include the Oscar-winning “No Country for Old Men” and “The Hours”.
Based on Michael Lewis’ bestselling “Moneyball” book, the story stars Brad Pitt as Oakland A’s general manager Billy Beane and his maverick ways to keep a competitive edge with a limited budget.

Will be interesting how Sorkin’s take differs from the one Pitt agreed to.
This film is getting lots of publicity even before the cameras roll. Most films dont get this much ink when they are in theaters.
Let’s see some baseball drama on the screen not behind the scenes.
Baseball has taken alot of swings and misses on the silver screen. Dont know if this has the makings of a hit.
Has there been another sports movie with this much hype before the cameras have begun shooting?
