The Colts, despite the loss of coach Dungy and wide receiver Marvin Harrison, are off to a fast start thanks to Peyton Manning’s terrific performances as he puts up big numbers week in and week out with Dallas Clark and Reggie Wayne the main targets.

Back-to-back games in mid-November against the Patriots and Ravens will be the biggest test to assess where Jim Caldwell has Indy headed, but for now they haven’t missed a beat.

The TEXANS young bunch are growing up before our eyes as fourth year coach Gary Kubiak has his charges entering their prime and poised to compete for the division crown. Pro Bowlers like defensive end Mario Williams and linebacker DeMeco Ryans lead by example while sixth year quarterback Matt Schaub is finding some time to get completions to such talents as Kevin Walter and Andre Johnson. Meanwhile as rookie Steve Slaton rushed for over 1200 yards. Yes things are looking up in football-mad Houston.

From the best records in ’08 to winless in ’09, the Titans have been one the of the league’s biggest disappointments. Still with a tough D under Chuck Cecil, who replaces Jim Schwartz who left to be the head coach at Detroit after 8 years, the Titans have three pro bowlers in the defensive backfield- Cortland Finnegan, Michael Griffin and Chris Hope, but where the hope is needed is on offense where Kerry Collins provides veteran leadership over an erratic Vince Young.

The Jaguars‘ housecleaning on the field have also adversely affected the house attendance as season ticket sales have plummeted with many thousands of empty seats and the franchise is among the first to be mentioned in any league relocation plans.

Going from 11-5 and eliminating the Steelers in the AFC wild-card to a dismal 5-11 last season, Jacksonville is in transition as coach Jack Del Rio looked at 40 new players in the off-season and after Sunday’s 41-0 black eye against Seattle, things aren’t looking good.

jacksonville is goin’ down the tubes. If they cant beat the Rams this week, they should fold.

    Peyton is on a mission

  • HoustonGlory

The Texans are for real and Andre Johnson is the best receiver in football!

  • Oilers4Ever

The Texans are a rising squad and Coach Kubiak has them heading in a winning direction. They may not overtake the Colts this year, but look out after that.

What ever happend to the Titans? What ever happened to QB Young? A franchise in a downward spiral.
