World Cup 2010 – The Teams Are Set
Earlier this week the last qualifying games in a two-year campaign concluded with the 32 teams now set for next summer’s World Cup in South Africa.
With the grouping to be conducted December 4th, here are the qualifiers by region:
North and Central America and Caribbean: Honduras, Mexico, United States
Europe: Denmark, England, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland
South America: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay
Asia: Australia, Japan, North Korea, South Korea
Africa: Algeria, Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, South Africa (host)
Oceania: New Zealand
All seven previous winners are in the field: Argentina, Brazil, England, France, Germany, Italy and Uruguay.
