The cable sports giant, ESPN, is reportedly going to become the subject of a new film.
Deadline is stating that 20th Century Fox is closing a deal for screen rights to the book by James Andrew Miller and Tom Shales, ESPN: Those Guys Have All The Fun.
The book uses the voices of past and present ESPN personalities, sales and technical executives and producers to tell the story of the growth of the network over the decades with all its tales of back-stabbing, egos as well as fighting the brink of financial ruin to becoming the sports media powerhouse it is today.
The report says that the picture will be produced by Michael De Luca, Trigger Street’s Dana Brunetti and Julie Yorn. De Luca is one of the producers of the upcoming baseball film, “Moneyball”.
