Angels Baseball on DVD

From humble beginnings in 1961 when they started out in such places as Los Angeles’ Wrigley Field, the Angels franchise celebrates its 50th anniversary with two DVD titles.

ANGELS MEMORIES: THE GREATEST MOMENTS IN ANGELS BASEBALL HISTORY

While the team has overcome tragic deaths and disappointing season-ending losses, the Angels have also had their fair share of the record-setting milestones and dramatic victories including the ultimate – a World Series title in 2002.

The video tribute includes a look at their brilliant pitchers like Nolan Ryan and Frank Tanana to Mike Witt, Don Sutton, John Lackey, and Jered Weaver as well as key offensive contributors like Rod Carew, Tim Salmon, Don Baylor, Reggie Jackson, Garret Anderson, and Fred Lynn. Skippers profiled include Bill Rigney, Gene Mauch, Jim Fregosi and Mike Scioscia.

Of course it was all made possible by the efforts of the original owner- that singing cowboy, Gene Autry.

Also out on DVD is a 7-disc set collection celebrating the franchise’s first ever world crown.

THE ANAHEIM ANGELS 2002 WORLD SERIES COLLECTOR’S EDITION

After a 41-year drought, manager Mike Scioscia took his cohesive unit to the top of the game. Winning 99 regular season games the Halos began their march as the American League Wild Card entry by first knocking off the formidable New York Yankees, then captured the Angels’ first American League pennant by defeating the Minnesota Twins. In defeating the San Francisco Giants they became the first AL Wild Card team to win the World Series championship.

This seven-DVD collection contains every play of all seven World Series games against the San Francisco Giants.

A special DVD audio-feature allows fans to watch the World Series television broadcast and listen to the Angels Radio Network announcers.
