Klitschkos and Stallone to Produce Rocky:The Musical

Can you just see it, as the curtain rises, the character that told Adrian he “couldn’t sing or dance” takes the stage shadow boxing and dancing to “Gonna Fly Now” or “Eye of the Tiger”.

Boxing’s favorite cinematic underdog and the sport’s two most successful siblings are teaming up to produce a musical adaptation of the Oscar-winning 1976 movie.

Wladimir and Vitali will not only be co-producers, but also train the actors to box.

‘Seeing Sylvester Stallone in Rocky when we were kids actually was the reason for us to start boxing in the first place,’ said Wladimir, ‘We are very excited to support this theatrical project.’

Sylvester Stallone in making the announcement in Hamburg, Germany, the adopted home of the Ukrainian brothers, said the project will focus on romance saying “At the end of the day, Rocky is a love story, and he could never have reached the final bell without Adrian.”

Expected to premiere late next year in Hamburg, Rocky: The Musical, budgeted at $15 million, will then hit the road for a worldwide stage tour.
