You recently witnessed a dominating run by the New York Yankees who became the only team of the decade to win 100 games and the World Series. 2009-2010 College Football Bowl Schedule In the closest race in the award’s 75-year history, Alabama sophomore running back Mark Ingram became his school’s first Heisman Trophy winner and the first running back since USC’s Reggie Bush won it in 2005. These perennial conference powers will be there again as Jim Tressel welcomes back seven starting defenders and four on offense to this year’s team. The Buckeyes key to success in winning at least ten games each of the past four seasons is the defense’s ability to limit the opponents scoring, a category they have been among the national leaders for some time. It was under 14 last year. The defense will be led by top tackler Kurt Coleman and converted linebacker-to-rusher Thaddeus Gibson. But like last year, the Big Ten crown will likely come down to a match with Penn State. Celebrating their 30th anniversary by engaging well-known filmmakers to create documentaries centered on the last 30 years in sports, ESPN’s ambitious project takes to the air beginning in the fall. Despite going with an untested quarterback (incoming freshman Matt Barkley) taking over the reigns from Mark Sanchez (now starting for the New York Jets) , new offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates will also play youthful running backs with emerging sophomore Curtis McNeal and redshirt freshman Curtis McNeal on a squad with twelve returning starters.
