The New York Giants and New England Patriots are the last teams standing in this strike-shortened season as the league’s title game plays out on Sunday in Indianapolis. The Giants beat the Patriots 17-14 in Super Bowl XLII by ending their perfect season at 18-1 four years ago. And I believe the same result will occur here only with a slightly higher final score.

The Jets look to go even deeper in the playoffs and have added some big names to their roster. On defense Miami end Jason Taylor and Chargers defensive back Antonio Cromartie add depth and veterans LaDanian Tomlinson and Santonio Holmes bring some punch to the offense.

Brady’s back and there’s gonna be trouble. New England finds a way to shed the old, have their youth contribute as they grow, but the key is getting veterans to plug immediate needs. Like running back Fred Taylor (despite an ankle injury), receiver Joey Galloway and pulling linebacker Junior Seau out of retirement (again).
