Rob Siegel, the writer of the Oscar-nominated drama, The Wrestler, writes and makes his directorial debut in this small, but exceptional and thought-provoking tale on obsessive behavior through the prism of sports – in this case NFL football.

Writer/director Robert Siegel (“The Wrestler”) received some good news about his movie. Earlier this week The Hollywood Reporter noted that First Independent Pictures has acquired the U.S. distribution rights to Siegel’s “Big Fan”, starring Patton Oswalt as an obsessive New York Giants fan.
A theatrical release is planned for late summer or early fall.
